Gym Floor Damaged by Water
The water flowed freely onto the hardwood gymnasium floor in. It was unfortunately not noticed for an almost 24 hour period resulting in seepage into the plywood backing. The cracks in the concrete base allowed the water to dampen, almost invisibly, other seemingly unaffected areas. We utilized moisture meters and infrared cameras to discover moisture points and reduce the overall demolition. Our large crew worked diligently to dry out and salvage most of the flooring and adjacent walls. The second photo depicts that the plywood sheathing required extensive drying along with replacement of some vapor barriers. This was a job that needed skillful technicians and industry leading equipment for a thorough and documented drying required by the management company for insurance purposes.
